01 / The brief

A problem worth solving.

The starting point

More than a booking site — show the beauty of Ethiopia to global visitors, and let travelers plan real itineraries together with the agency’s staff.

The design response

A six-page Framer site: a photography-led home, Explore and Destinations pages, a regional blog system, and itinerary booking handled with agency employees — all fully responsive.

The visual thread

A journey starts with curiosity.

A presentation palette drawn from the mood of the work. A consistent rhythm connects imagery, typography, and the path through the story.

02 / Inside the experience

Beyond the first impression.

A closer look at the content, the structure, and the details that make this project work.

01 — Destination storytelling

Make a place feel worth exploring.

Landscape, architecture, and local detail give travelers a reason to keep exploring. The image hierarchy introduces a destination before asking them to plan a trip.

02 — Depth beyond the homepage

From inspiration to an itinerary.

Destination content and regional stories create a path from broad interest to a more personal trip. Agency-led planning gives the visitor somewhere useful to go next.

The visitor’s path

Every page has a purpose.

  1. 01Discover Ethiopia
  2. 02Explore destinations
  3. 03Read regional stories
  4. 04Plan with the agency

03 / The decisions

The thinking behind the detail.

The agency wanted to communicate through pictures, so the design started at the wireframe stage with generous space reserved for destination photography. Every page leads with a place, and the booking path is designed to interrupt exploration as little as possible.

01

Photography-first layouts

The agency sells places, not paragraphs. Every section was framed as a stage for a photograph, with type kept quiet around it.

02

Region-first navigation

Dozens of destinations become six browsable regions (Addis Ababa, Axum, Gonder…) instead of one searchable dump — visitors scan, then dive.

03

Trust before the ask

A partner marquee (Booking.com, Airbnb, TripAdvisor) and visitor numbers sit above the fold, so credibility is established before any booking CTA.

04

Booking one click away

Explore and enquiry CTAs persist across pages, and itinerary planning loops in agency staff — the site sells, the people close.

The constraints that shaped the work
  • Balancing aesthetic storytelling with functional booking tools.
  • Keeping the site fast despite high-resolution destination photography.
  • Designing a structure that could absorb blogs and itinerary planning without redesign.

04 / The outcome

What the work delivered.

The final site balances storytelling and function: visitors explore Ethiopia visually, learn the destinations, and book through the agency — a digital home with room to grow its content library.
